• Judges

The current term of office for Precinct Chairs ends on May 1, 2010. If you are interested in serving as a Precinct Chair, you must submit a filing form to the HCDP office between Oct. 4 2009 and Jan. 2, 2010-6pm.  If there is a vacancy in your precinct between elections, you may be appointed until the next election.

A filing form is available at the HCDP office or from the Secretary of State's web site at http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/a2-1pm.pdf

There is no filing fee for Precinct Chair. The form must be notarized.

Qualifications:

1. A qualified voter
2. Age 18 or older
3. Vote in the 2010 Democratic Primary
4. Cannot be candidates or office holders in county, state, or federal government
